INSTALLATIONS YEAR ROUND
If your garage still has a plain concrete slab for a floor, you could be doing so much more with the space! Concrete, by itself, isn't a good flooring material. It's surprisingly easy to crack, and because concrete is porous, it soaks up stains like a sponge. A plain concrete floor will almost immediately start to break down, and will only get worse over time.
That's why people look to garage floor installers for coatings to finish their garage floor. A layer of resinous material applied to the concrete will add significant strength and durability, while also making it stain-resistant and extremely easy to clean. There are several different materials that can be used for this, and epoxy is often considered the standard option.
However, good garage floor installers know there's a new option: polyaspartic floor coatings. For homeowners and businesses, there's no better material for coating your concrete floor.
Polyaspartic coatings are the newest form of concrete coating, first developed in the 1990s and now gaining widespread use. These coatings are made from polyurea, a type of plastic, and have been specifically formulated to be the best possible coating for a concrete floor.
Strong. A concrete floor coated with polyaspartic materials will be nearly impervious to damage, resistant to both crushing and chipping damage. A polyaspartic coating can easily hold up any vehicle you might want to store in your garage and is widely used in spaces such as warehouses where heavy machinery is common.
Easily cleaned. A properly installed polyaspartic coating creates a seamless edge-to-edge coat across your entire floor, which is entirely resistant to liquid spills and even most chemicals. Any spills can be wiped right up, and the floor itself can be cleaned with basic soap and water. Or just hose it down to get rid of dirt and debris.
UV-resistant. Many alternative floor coatings, such as epoxy, are vulnerable to ultraviolet light, such as in sunlight. They'll fade, and eventually start to break down after receiving too much sun. Polyaspartic coatings, on the other hand, have no such weakness. Your garage can receive as much sun as you want, with no problems.
Safe & Fast Curing. Another major problem with epoxy is that it's slow to harden, and releases dangerous VOC fumes the whole time. Polyaspartic coatings are typically ready for use in less than a day, with no dangerous chemical outgassing.
Beautiful. Want your garage to look great? Polyaspartic coatings can have metallic particles or even full items embedded within the mix - allowing it to have a wide variety of looks and textures.
